Located in the heart of Miami just south of famous Little Havana, Shenandoah and Silver Bluff are quiet and charming historic Miami neighborhoods. The streets are lined with a wide variety of trees and plant life, and the houses exude a charm and character that is pure Miami. Thanks to its proximity to such neighborhoods as Brickell, Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, not to mention its proximity to Downtown Miami and Little Havana, these two neighborhoods are becoming some of the most desirable areas in all of Miami Dade.

Shenandoah is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Miami. Prior to its establishment in 1919, the area was mostly used as farmland and forest. But its proximity to the core of Miami was not lost on developers from Virginia (hence where the name comes from). Many of the homes from the 1920’s and 1930’s in this neighborhood are still standing, including wooden bungalows and homes in the Mediterranean revival style. In fact, the neighborhood holds the honor of having the highest concentration of 20’s and 30’s homes in the entire state! Development began in before 1919, when Its official borders are SW Eighth Street to the north, Coral Way to the South, 12th Avenue to the east and 27th Avenue to the west. The neighborhood is ideal for taking a stroll and on any given day, you will see residents jogging and walking down the gorgeous tree-lined streets.

Silver Bluff is part of the larger Coral Way neighborhood, also developed in the 20’s and featuring homes in the Mission Revival style, bungalow and art deco. The neighborhood is bordered by Coral Way (SW Twenty-Second Street) to the south, which is home to an ever growing restaurant scene featuring cuisine from all over the world including Cuba, Portugal, Venezuela, Turkey, Greece, and Honduras.
