We all love our things. Whether it’s a, tea set that we have never used, but our great grandmother left it behind for us or that notebook where you would journal all about your first dates and heartbreaks, but what is really and truly sparking joy within you? Do you need all of those cufflinks and golf clubs or what about all of those silk scarves and scented candles?

Well, to help us all figure out what to do with our Earthly possessions – beloved and otherwise is Marie Kondo author of
one of my personal favorite books
Spark JoyMarie has created a “prescriptive manual” that has had a very good run on The New York Times top sellers list. The purpose of Spark Joy is to analyze and evaluate your inventory of things while cross referencing your emotional value to each item. This illustrated odyssey to living purposefully is nothing short of life saving. From decluttering a home which is going on the market for imagessale, to my own closet, I apply many of the principles Ms. Kondo asks us to consider. If that piece of art, trophy collection or all of your dogs leashes do not spark joy – let imgres-2them go! Less in this case, is certainly more.
